Role Overview

We are seeking a reliable, flexible, and hands-on Warehouse Operative to support our busy operations. This varied role covers general warehouse tasks and additional responsibilities including First Aider, Fire Warden, Key Holder duties, driving, and supporting exhibitions.

You'll play a key part in ensuring goods flow smoothly through our warehouse and that we maintain the highest standards of safety, security, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Perform general warehouse duties: picking, packing, loading/unloading, stock control. Operate handheld scanners and basic warehouse IT systems. Secure the premises as a Key Holder, ensuring proper opening and closing procedures. Drive company vehicles for deliveries, collections, and event logistics (valid driving licence required). Support the logistics, setup, and breakdown of exhibitions and trade shows (travel, overnight stays, evenings & weekends may be required). Assist during planned factory shutdowns and major cleans. Maintain a safe, clean, and organised warehouse environment. Operate forklift trucks if needed (experience preferred, but not essential, training provided). Work in varying temperature conditions, including cold storage areas. Be flexible and willing to work overtime as required.

Person Specification

Essential:

Full UK driving licence. Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling. Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy with strong timekeeping. Basic IT and scanner skills. Previous warehouse experience. Willing to work in cold conditions. Flexible and able to travel, with occasional evening/weekend work.

Desirable:

Forklift truck licence/experience (training can be provided). Previous experience working at exhibitions/trade shows. First Aid and Fire Warden certification (or willingness to be trained). Experience as a key holder or with site security.
