Warehouse Operative (Goods In/Out) and 12T Driver

Colour Sound Experiment Ltd provides lighting and video rental, design and installation for special events, launches, festivals, tours and conferences.

We currently have a vacancy for a Warehouse Operative in the Goods In/Out department. The role is available to start ASAP and will be predominantly a Warehouse Goods In/Out role, but with additional responsibilities driving goods over the road from one warehouse to the other, shuttling equipment between warehouses as required.

Salary: 15-17.50ph

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Hours: Monday-Friday, 09:00 - 18:00

Location: London NW10

Holiday Allowance: 28 days per year, including bank holidays

Sickness Policy: Statutory sick pay

Roles and Responsibilities

To check goods in against delivery notes for accuracy and damages Load and unload trucks and vans in line with H&S procedures Move goods to relevant departments Use rental management system to print upcoming jobs Ensure departments send down correct equipment in a timely manner Inform departments of any missing items before equipment is sent Keep Goods In/Out and external area clear and free of rubbish Assist with parking management and provide support to drivers coming in and out of the yard to ensure safety for people and other vehicles Clean and prepare flight cases Assist other departments to prepare basic equipment, including painting truss, washing cables and picking and cleaning drapes Package equipment for posting and sending by courier, including preparing pallets When required, to assist others with ad-hoc tasks, as directed by management
Skills, Qualification & Experience:

Essential:

Excellent attention to detail Good communication skills Proactive & punctual Ability to work paid overtime during busy periods, when required
