The Warehouse Operative's key role is to assist in the efficient day to day running of the workshop. You will be required to support the production team by organising materials, handling deliveries and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. You will work as part of a close knit team, which offers great support and collaboration to improve the efficiency and working environment of the business.

Primary Responsibilities
Receive, inspect and store incoming materials (e.g. timber, fixings, hardware), logging these correctly on the company systems
Pick and load materials from picking lists provided by Production Manager
Maintain accurate records of stock movements and update inventory systems to correctly allocate materials and wastage to projects, as well as ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained
Assist with wrapping and loading completed projects, and transferring to delivery vehicles
Maintain high levels of cleanliness across the warehouse and workshop, ensuring materials are stored correctly to prevent damage or injury
Follow all health and safety regulations and report any hazards to the relevant person
Support the production team with manual handling tasks as required
Delivering and collecting materials in company vehicles
Experience
Previous experience in a warehouse or joinery / manufacturing environment
Basic knowledge of joinery materials would be advantageous
Previous experience of manual handling techniques
CSCS card preferable but not essential
Skills & Abilities
Strong organisational and time management skills
Good communication skills
Flexibility with hours to assist workflow and achieve deadlines
Forklift licence
Personal Attributes & Requirements
Full UK Driving License
