Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse. This position involves various tasks related to materials handling, stocking, and maintaining the overall organisation of the warehouse environment.

Duties

Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. Utilise a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory and managing stock levels. Perform materials handling tasks including loading and unloading goods from lorries. Engage in picking and packing orders accurately for shipment. Assist with shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely delivery of products. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse to promote a safe working environment. Conduct regular stock checks and assist with inventory management using AS400 or similar systems. Execute heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring proper techniques are followed to prevent injury. Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational targets and enhance productivity.

Qualifications

Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable, with a strong understanding of warehouse operations. Proficiency in operating forklifts; certification is preferred but not mandatory as training may be provided. Familiarity with warehouse management systems and basic mechanical knowledge is advantageous. Experience in construction or similar fields will be considered an asset. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently throughout the shift. Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in picking, packing, and inventory management. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
