Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling various tasks related to nuts and bolts, stocking, and shipping. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate must have a driving license as some driving will be required.

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts and a reach truck and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. Manage inventory using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track stock levels and movements. Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse. Perform stocking duties, replenishing shelves as needed to maintain optimal inventory levels. Assist in shipping and receiving processes, including loading and unloading goods from lorries. Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency.

Experience

Previous warehouse experience is preferred, with familiarity in materials handling practices. knowledge of nuts and bolts would be beneficial but not essential. Knowledge of forklift operation is essential; certification is a plus. You will be using a forklift truck and will be trained to use a reach truck as this is essential requirement for the job. Experience with warehouse management systems is advantageous. Mechanical knowledge or experience in construction can be beneficial. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring adherence to safety protocols during all tasks.
