opportunity has arisen within the Warehouse Department for aWarehouse Operative.
This position is for someone looking to develop their existing skills or learn new ones that will equip them for a career within one of the leading wholesale distributors of architectural ironmongery and hardware products.Key responsibilities for the role of Warehouse Operative include:
Create orders to meet customer requirements Deal with all supplier goods in and returns Ensure that all deliveries are accompanied by the appropriate paperwork Off-load and load supplier and customer distribution vehicles Advise the Warehouse Manager on any issues with stock levels and quality General housekeeping of the department to ensure all products are adequately stocked in a clean and presentable manner Ensure that every effort is made to secure the health and safety of both oneself and those affected by your acts or omissions
What do you need to be successful?
Experience of working in a warehouse environment Ability to demonstrate knowledge of ironmongery and hardware products Strong customer service & communication skills Ability to work under pressure and to tight timescales Forklift license or willingness to obtain
