Job Description

Broughton Transport Solutions are looking for a warehouse operative to join our busy team in Melksham. This role will report to our Yard Manager and work as part of a team to vehicles are loaded & unloaded in a timely way, freight is secure and safe to travel and the yard is kept tidy to H&S standards.

Working hours: Monday to Friday 6am - 4pm (flexibility required)

Duties will include:

- Scanning inbound & outbound freight

- Identify any damages / freight unsuitable

- Picking loads for onward transit

- Loading & unloading vehicles in time with operational plan

- Support the planner and customer service team with queries

- Palletising freight when required

- Labelling freight for onward transit when required

- Ensure freight is suitable for onward transit

- Yard housekeeping

- Adhere to H&S guidelines

- Support with driver call outs

- Forklift and trailer maintenance

The applicant will need a Counterbalance Forklift ticket & driving licence.

- Monday to Friday

- Optional Saturday morning work on a rota basis

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.21-21.21 per hour

Expected hours: 9.5 - 12 per week
