Job Description

Castell Howell Foods is Wales' leading independent food service wholesaler, servicing the length and breadth of Wales, the Border Counties and the South West of England. We currently have a vacancy for a Warehouse Operative based at our Merthyr Tydfil depot.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Receive and check deliveries against a purchase order ensuring accurate counts, sufficient best before dates and quality control of products received Put away of pallets once delivery checks complete Picking of orders Ensuring all products are handled correctly to minimize damages Completing stock checks to guarantee correct stock levels Reporting all stock discrepancies, date issues or other related concerns to management

What we are looking for:

A team player who can also work independently when required Someone who demonstrates attention to detail You should consider yourself physically fit Have basic literacy and numeracy skills Be prepared to work in a cold store at -20 (full protective equipment is provided) Ideally hold a Reach Forklift /Counterbalance Forklift/Pallet Truck Licence

Travel to our Cross Hands depot will be required during the training period with the role commencing in our Merthyr depot from late September.

What we offer:

A full-time position contracted to 43 hours per week.
