Job Description

This position is Full Time, Monday - Friday.

In the warehouse, you are responsible for all delivery of goods, manually checking the goods received, scanning in the said goods & placing them in the stockroom in an orgainised fashion. You must also support your co-workers & work as a team, maintaining a clean, uncluttered environment and all duties related to the smooth running of the store

Main duties and responsibilities

1. To replenish stock in a quick and efficient manner, ensuring shelves are full

2. To rotate the stock when replenishing to ensure the products are fresh, checking the dates of products to ensure they are fit for sale

3. Assisting with regular stock checks and annual stock takes

4. Dispose of packaging according to rules and regulations (cardboard in cardboard compactor, plastics in plastic compactor and general waste in grey compactor)

5. Loading and unloading delivery vehicles, by hand or with a forklift truck.

6. Checking for damaged or missing items and then sorting stock for storage in the warehouse.

7. Taking goods to the appropriate storage space.

8. Keeping a careful record of the stock on the warehouse management system, so that it can be located quickly.

9. Operating a forklift truck to move and rearrange stock and ensure that products are stored safely (especially chemicals and food) and labelled correctly and safely (especially chemicals and food).

10. Receiving orders using a hand-held scanner from the storage space.

11. Cleaning and maintaining the warehouse will also be part of the daily routine.

12. With heavy equipment in operation warehouses can be dangerous places, so following workplace health and safety rules will be essential.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 8.90-12.65 per hour
