The Company

Inside Group is an established market leading business, that operates across multiple sectors, including new build housing, care, education, hospitality, residential and construction. We work with many northeast clients and national clients to deliver tailored bespoke solutions, for flooring, interior design, exterior design, window dressings, 3D plans, bespoke furniture and lighting and soft furnishings, our services also include cleaning, specialist cleaning such as brick, drive, and patio cleaning, as well as carpet and upholstery cleaning.

As a group we employ 64 people and additional have over 40 sub-contractors that work across the business.

Job Summary

Due to expansion and growth, across the business, we are seeking an immediate start for an individual to join our established warehouse team, who is adaptable and proactive in dealing with large volumes of goods inwards and goods outwards.

Reporting to the warehouse supervisor, you will form part of the team, working both individually and as part of a team, providing support for our flooring businesses.

You will be competent with working in a warehouse environment, hold a clean driving license, articulate and able to work within our processes, including safe working and competent with H&S procedures, already in place. Forklift training on both reach truck and counterbalance would be preferable, but not essential, as training can be given.

We operate in a busy and demanding environment, and at times workloads become high, especially during quarter end, half year and year end periods.

This is a fast-paced environment, you must be quick thinking and highly motivated, with the ability to perform under pressure.

Key duties and responsibilities

Unloading deliveries



Checking deliveries against delivery notes



Booking stock into our stock management system



Placing stock in set locations



Picking stock for collections/deliveries



Following cutting plans to cut carpet stock for future fittings



Recycling of plastics and cardboard



Potential driving of vans to deliver stock to jobs



Ensuring warehouse and site are kept clean of rubbish / waste



Persons Specification

Previous experience of working in a fast-paced warehouse facility



Must possess strong organisation and communication skills



Must have good attention to detail



Literate



Must be proactive and able to confidentially work independently, as well as being a positive team player



Knowledge of flooring products, desirable but not essential.



Self-driven, self-motivated individual that is proactive and takes the lead



Must possess strong organisational and communication skills, both written and verbal



Forklift license and experience preferable



Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 25,800.00 per year
