Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse by performing various tasks related to materials handling, stocking, and shipping & receiving. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. Manage inventory using a warehouse management system (WMS) to track stock levels and movements. Handle materials with care, ensuring proper lifting techniques are used for heavy lifting tasks. Perform picking & packing of orders accurately and efficiently. Assist in shipping & receiving processes, including loading and unloading goods from lorries. Maintain an organised and clean warehouse environment to promote safety and efficiency. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and adherence to operational standards. Utilise mechanical knowledge for basic maintenance of warehouse equipment as needed. Support construction-related tasks when required, contributing to overall team objectives.

Requirements

Previous warehouse experience is preferred, particularly in roles involving materials handling and inventory management. Proficiency in operating forklifts; certification is advantageous but not essential as training may be provided. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) such as AS400 is desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment maintenance. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) consistently throughout the shift. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail for accurate order fulfilment. Capability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
