We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Operative/ Relief Class 2 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by performing various tasks related to materials handling, stock management, and order fulfilment. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will also be responsible for carrying out multi-drop deliveries and collections of goods as a Relief Driver in a safe and efficient manner on occasions.

Duties

Perform picking and packing of orders accurately and efficiently. Utilise warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory and manage stock levels. Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring safe handling practices are followed. Maintain the warehouse in a clean, safe and tidy condition Operate equipment as needed, including pallet jacks and forklift truck. Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational targets and improve workflow processes. When required, be responsible for carrying out multi-drop deliveries and collections of goods in a safe and efficient manner.

About You

Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred. Valid Class 2/ Category C Driving Licence Valid CPC Card and Tachograph Card Previous fork Lift Truck experience is essential. Builders merchants or distribution experience preferred. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for accurate order processing. Knowledge of materials handling procedures and safety regulations within a warehouse setting. Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Flexibility and a "can do" attitude

Hours of work:

Monday to Friday, 07:00am - 4:00pm, 40 hours per week.
