Job description
The Warehouse Operative will ensure the smooth and accurate flow of goods through the warehouse from vendor delivery to customer satisfaction, whilst maintaining and improving levels of health and safety, quality and productivity in a lean manufacturing environment.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
Processing Vendor deliveries
Picking Customer orders
Packing customer orders to a high standard
Maintaining and improving levels of health and safety
Reducing customer errors
Maintaining and improving levels of stock accuracy
Maintaining and improving 5S & clean as you go
Provide assistance to all other departments when required.
To cover for other team members during absence.
All other warehouse duties in all departments as requested
To play an active part in the lean improvements plan
To have an active involvement in 5S and the warehouse improvement plan
Identify and make recommendations for cost saving initiatives and corrective actions
To actively involve yourself in self-development, learning new skills as required
Profile
Desired Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Warehousing background
Good communication skills
Ability to prioritise and manage own tasks
Good team working ethos and can do attitude
Enthusiastic, motivational and an energetic team player
Flexible with the needs of the business
Lean manufacturing and 5S experience an advantage
Working knowledge of SAP and WM would be advantageous
