Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling various tasks related to inventory management, shipping, and receiving. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Perform picking and packing of orders accurately and efficiently. Utilise a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory levels and stock movements. Assist in maintaining stock levels by organising and replenishing inventory as needed. Operate forklifts safely to move heavy items within the warehouse. Engage in heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring proper lifting techniques are followed. Build and assemble products as necessary for shipping or storage. Conduct shipping and receiving duties, including verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse area to promote a safe working environment. Demonstrate mechanical knowledge for basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.

Experience

Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is advantageous. Experience with shipping and receiving processes is beneficial. Ability to operate forklifts; certification may be required depending on company policy. Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods is essential. Mechanical knowledge will be considered an asset in this role.
