Warehouse Operative (Energy Storage Systems)

Location:

Fully on-site at our facility at Chemical Lane, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, ST6 4PB.

Job Type:

Permanent, 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday, with shifts 9am - 5pm or 8:30am - 4:30pm.

Salary:

Up to 28k pa DOE

About Us

GivEnergy is a globally established, market leading energy storage manufacturer of electronic equipment designed to manage energy use and production. We specialise in our range of inverters and battery systems which allow our users to store their renewable/cheap-rate energy, ease pressure on the grid and save some serious money.

Key Accountabilities Include

Responsibility for our goods in and out.

Checking shipments for any damages incurred as part of the shipping process and making the relevant insurance claims where necessary.

Ensuring orders received and distributed are correct and our customers receive a first-class service.

Supporting with co-ordinating the product repairs and maintenance process ensuring all goods in and out are correctly booked in, documented and tracked.

Supporting with stock management including co-ordination of spares stock and re-ordering spare parts from suppliers, and reconciliation at both on-site and off-site storage locations.

Arranging shipment of goods to customers via a range of logistics solutions and associated shipping documents.

Product re-work/re-labelling/re-packaging.

Ensuring health and safety is the priority for all activity undertaken and that all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is used at all times

Working with colleagues to ensure tasks and activities are carried out in a safe manner.

General warehouse duties including manual-handling and use of MHE (Mechanical Handling Equipment) such as CB (Counter-balance) fork-lifts, pallet-trucks etc.

General administration tasks and duties associated with the warehouse operation.

What We're Looking For

A valid counter-balance fork-lift license (essential)

Experience in moving heavy goods safely around a warehouse site with a high level of manual and mechanical handling e.g. lifting and loading.

Good working knowledge of the freight forwarding processes.

Strong experience with warehouse and logistics paperwork (packing lists, dangerous goods notes, transport bookings etc.)

Strong administrative IT skills - Accurate volume data logging, effective use of spreadsheets and formulas and producing reports.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Ability to effectively communicate via email and telephone to customers and suppliers regarding delivery bookings.

Full valid driving licence (preferred)
