Coppice Ltd, part of the EP Group, is an international supplier of aluminium packaging to the food manufacturing processing and baking industries. We are currently recruiting a Warehouse Operative.
As Warehouse Operative you will store the right amount of materials, goods and products in the right location to feed the business's operational and customer demand.
Overall Purpose of the Role:
Ensures the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of warehouse materials, goods and products to feed business operations and customer demand.
Role Responsibilities:
Guarantee finished goods storage and loading preparation in compliance with working instructions and safety guidelines.
Move pallets around the facility and store them in the correct storage bay
Manage the warehouse extraordinary operations in line with the system requirement and work instructions received
Prepare the loading area in compliance with loading schedule documentation completed
Identify and report any product damage or quality deficiencies
Load trucks if required
Ensure all required documentation is accurately completed
Operate forklift trucks and other material handling equipment
Identify and report any product damage or quality deficiencies
Perform daily equipment checks and report any faults
Maintain the equipment guaranteeing the daily functioning in line with the work instructions
Carry out periodic stocktaking activities
Guarantee the warehouse space optimization
Work closely and in cooperation with the rest of the Warehouse team members and Production Teams
Ensure housekeeping within work area is maintained at the highest level ensuring adherence to BRC accreditation and standards at all times
Ensure and maintain a safe working environment by adherence to HSE requirements
Complete Hazard Tags where required
Support continuous improvement activities and initiatives
To carry out or assist with any duties as deemed necessary in connection with the business
Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
Full Driving Licence
Relevant Forklift license
Understanding of H&S requirements and key principles
Good understanding of manufacturing principles
Background in a mechanical Engineering environment
Good communication skills
Able to work as part of a team
Flexible approach in order to meet business and departmental requirements
Excellent time management skills
Able to work on own initiative and manage own priorities and time constraints
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
