We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by efficiently handling various tasks related to materials management. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
Utilise warehouse management systems for tracking inventory and managing stock levels.
Handle materials with care, ensuring proper stocking and storage practices are followed.
Perform picking and packing duties to prepare orders for shipping.
Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including loading and unloading goods from lorries.
Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency.
Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies as needed.
Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.
Experience
Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable, particularly in roles involving materials handling.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems, such as AS400, is advantageous.
Mechanical knowledge or experience in construction can be beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required, with a focus on safety protocols.
