Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by managing the flow of goods and materials. This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

This role is on a rotating shift pattern and will include weekends, this is 21:00 - 07:00

Duties

Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage stock levels. Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring safe handling and storage. Handle materials efficiently, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Perform picking and packing tasks accurately to fulfil orders. Maintain an organised warehouse environment, ensuring cleanliness and orderliness. Assist with shipping and receiving processes, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments. Conduct regular stock checks to ensure accurate inventory records. Utilise mechanical knowledge for basic equipment maintenance when necessary. Engage in heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used.

Skills

Proficiency in warehouse management systems, including AS400, is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment handling and maintenance. Experience in load unloading operations with a focus on safety and efficiency. Competence in materials handling practices to minimise damage and maximise productivity. Familiarity with stock management processes, including inventory control techniques. Ability to perform picking packing tasks with precision and attention to detail. Previous experience working in a warehouse environment is advantageous. Capability for heavy lifting, with good physical stamina for extended periods of standing or moving.
