Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by performing various tasks related to the handling, storage, and distribution of goods. Duties

Load and unload goods from lorries and containers, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. Manage inventory using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track stock levels and locations. Perform picking and packing of orders accurately to meet shipping deadlines. Assist in stocking shelves and maintaining an organised warehouse layout. Conduct shipping and receiving activities, verifying the accuracy of shipments against documentation. Carry out materials handling tasks, including heavy lifting as required. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse to promote safety and efficiency. Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.

Skills

Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable. Proficiency in operating forklifts and familiarity with AS400 systems is advantageous. Strong mechanical knowledge for basic equipment maintenance is beneficial. Experience in construction or related fields can be an asset. Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the shift. Excellent attention to detail for accurate order fulfilment and inventory management. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. Good communication skills for teamwork and coordination within the warehouse environment.
