Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by performing various tasks related to the handling, storage, and distribution of goods. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. Utilise a warehouse management system for tracking inventory and managing stock levels. Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse. Perform general warehouse duties including stocking shelves, picking and packing orders, and preparing items for shipping. Assist in shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading goods from lorries. Maintain a clean and organised workspace to promote safety and efficiency. Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure accuracy in stock levels. Use mechanical knowledge to perform minor repairs on equipment as needed. Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.

Experience

Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with materials handling processes and techniques. Experience with picking & packing procedures is advantageous. Knowledge of AS400 or similar inventory management systems is beneficial. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role, demonstrating physical fitness for the demands of the job.
