Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by performing various tasks related to the handling, storage, and distribution of goods. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Ensure all Warehouse and Freezer procedures are consistently followed Promptly report any Warehouse or Freezer issues to the Head of Logistics Maintain cleanliness of Warehouse areas in accordance with the cleaning schedule Manage the sorting of all incoming and outgoing collections and deliveries Accurately complete all goods receipting and dispatch documentation Carry out effective stock rotation to ensure product quality and compliance Assist with bulk packing as required Support the Logistics Team by acting as a driver when needed Prepare and pack orders accurately for timely delivery Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and improve operational efficiency.

Experience

Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not essential. Experience in materials handling, shipping, receiving, and heavy lifting is beneficial. A valid forklift licence is desirable; training may be provided for the right candidate.
This role attracts a base hourly rate of 12.60.

Hours of work are 2pm to 10.15pm (2nd shift)

Flexibility to switch to the 1st shift (6am to 2.15pm) to meet the needs of the business is required.

When working on the 2nd shift (2pm to 10.15pm) a 5% uplift is applied to the base hourly rate.
