Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by efficiently handling various tasks related to inventory management and materials handling. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Load and unload goods from lorries and containers, ensuring safe handling practices are followed. Pick and pack orders accurately, preparing them for shipment or storage. Stock shelves and maintain inventory levels, ensuring that all items are organised and easily accessible. Utilise the AS400 system for tracking inventory and managing stock levels effectively. Assist in shipping and receiving processes, verifying the accuracy of shipments against documentation. Build pallets and prepare products for distribution as required. Perform heavy lifting tasks as necessary, adhering to safety protocols to prevent injury. Operate warehouse management systems to streamline operations and improve efficiency. Apply mechanical knowledge when necessary to assist with equipment maintenance or troubleshooting. Engage in materials handling tasks, ensuring that all items are moved safely within the warehouse.

Experience

Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Familiarity with loading/unloading procedures and materials handling techniques is advantageous. Experience with picking/packing processes and stock management systems will be beneficial. Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus, enabling effective interaction with warehouse equipment.
