Warehouse Operative with Driving Duties

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Operative with Driving Duties to join our team based at our Bradford site, Anchor Works, Holme Lane, Bradford, BD4 6NA. You will typically work 40 hours per week, but you may be required to work up to 50 hours per week, including an additional 2 hours per day during busy periods. Initially, 24 hours per week will be dedicated to driving responsibilities, for which you will receive enhanced pay (0.80 per hour). Flexibility is essential.

Purpose of the role

> To receive and process stock items to the agreed quality standard and undertake driving responsibilities on behalf of the transport department to meet customer needs; transporting goods in a safe and timely manner.

Main duties and responsibilities

What you do:

> To receive and process stock items to the agreed quality standard

> Ensure the warehouse and premises are kept clean and safe at all times

? Report any issues of concern which may affect the smooth running of the warehouse

? Comply with all Company policies and procedures, including Health & Safety

? Maintain highest security standards in the warehouse at all times

? Effective use of equipment in the Warehouse in accordance with relevant competencies

Driving duties include:

>Load and unload vehicle as required, using appropriate equipment

> Scan items to the vehicle at collection and at the delivery points

? Ensure each delivery has a full and clear proof of delivery dated, timed and signed

? Secure the load at all times within the rear of the vehicle

? Notify any damages or shortages immediately

? Daily completion Vehicle defect sheets fully and correctly-Notify any defects immediately

? Drive legally and carefully, take into account your full surroundings when using the vehicle

? Complete daily worksheet supplied by Transport

? Fuel the vehicle using the company fuel card and ensure all receipts are retained and handed in with your daily worksheet

Requirements:

>Must have Full UK Car License (Category B) with minimum 2 years driving experience

>Previous experience working as a vehicle delivery driver would be advantageous

>Excellent communication skills (both verbal and in writing)

>Excellent interpersonal skills

>Excellent attention to detail

>Good level of numeracy

>Pro-active and self-motivated

>Ability to perform under pressure

Able to use initiative and organise own workload

Shift Pattern:

>Any five over seven days between 06:00 and 22:00
