Beaverswood are looking for a new Warehouse Operative to join their growing Warehouse team at their Head Office in Wokingham.


The Warehouse Operative is responsible for preparing materials specific to customer requirements as scheduled by the Warehouse Manager. The role involves working alongside the company computerised order and stock control system.



The Warehouse Operative will work with members of the sales and warehouse team and carry out regular housekeeping duties.

Responsibilities:



Prepare materials according to customer requirements, to include alterations and the building of products. Carry out the loading and unloading of materials from vehicles and pallet racking, in a safe manner, ensuring that all changes are recorded within the stock control system. Report any stock issues to ensure that levels are maintained and coordinate with the Warehouse Manager on upcoming projects. Ensure all relevant RAMS are adhered to along with all other health and safety rules. Ensure all necessary safety checks are completed prior to work commencing, to include but not limited to, PPE and work/access equipment. Ensure warehouse environment is kept at high standards for safety, storage efficiency and housekeeping, reporting any issues. Assist the Warehouse Manager with routine health and safety checks within the warehouse i.e. Fire Walks. Double check picks/work carried out by your team members prior to dispatch. Carry out regular stock check and counts, liaising with the Warehouse Manager on any discrepancies. Carry out on site learning to build on skills and knowledge of the industry to pursue personal development. Attend team meetings to review the department's schedule and KPI's.

Success Management:



Build and maintain effective working relationships. Achievement of weekly/monthly KPI's. Meet or exceed expectations on the delivery of warehouse projects. Maintenance of auditable documentation trails. Engagement with Warehouse Manager and team to ensure timely completion of projects. Demonstration of continuous improvement.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience



Able to prioritise, develop work schedule, and influence others to achieve results. Good organisational skills and the ability to multitask. Excellent communication and engagement skills. Experience within a warehouse environment. Collaborate effectively with others to ensure business improvements and efficiencies. Knowledge of H&S regulations relevant to the industry.
Knowledge and understanding of products, systems of work and construction basics within the industry.



Aptitudes/Attributes:



Capable of working to challenging deadlines and managing multiple tasks efficiently. Initiative-taking, hands-on, can-do attitude. Able to work independently and as a team when required. A result orientated problem solver. Diligence, tenacious, persistent, and balanced. Establish and maintain effective working relationships, using communication skills.
