Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Worker/Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including materials handling, stock management, and shipping and receiving goods. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in warehouse management systems and delivery tasks within a dynamic environment. Prior warehouse experience and knowledge of forklift operation are highly desirable, but not essential as training will be given. We are a family run Architectual Ironmongers who sell items from Door to building supplies.

Responsibilities

Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, ensuring safety protocols are followed. Manage stock levels through accurate stocking, picking, and packing of items to meet order requirements. Assist with shipping and receiving procedures, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of goods. Handle materials safely, including heavy lifting within the warehouse and on trade sites. Support construction or refurbishment activities within the warehouse as needed. Maintain a clean, organised workspace to promote safety and efficiency across all operations.

Requirements

Previous experience working in a warehouse environment is preferred. Strong materials handling skills with the ability to perform heavy lifting safely. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in stock management processes. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting. Good physical fitness to handle manual tasks involving lifting, loading, and unloading items regularly.

Pay: 12.21 per hour
