We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting as part of the daily tasks.
Responsibilities
Safely drive a delivery van to various locations, ensuring adherence to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Load and unload goods from the vehicle, performing heavy lifting as necessary.
Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
Conduct routine checks on the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times and any discrepancies.
Assist in warehouse duties when not on delivery, including inventory management and organisation of goods.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving is advantageous.
Ability to lift heavy packages and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
Familiarity with local routes and geography is beneficial.
A proactive attitude towards safety and compliance with company policies is essential.
