Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of warehouse tasks including materials handling, stock management, and shipping and receiving operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within a busy logistics environment, utilising equipment such as forklifts and warehouse management systems. Prior warehouse experience is preferred, along with mechanical knowledge and the ability to perform heavy lifting safely. The position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to contribute to efficient warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment, including forklifts where certified. Manage stock levels through accurate picking, packing, and replenishment activities. Operate warehouse management systems (such as AS400) to track inventory movements. Conduct shipping and receiving duties, ensuring all items are correctly documented and stored. Handle materials with care, maintaining safety standards during all handling processes. Assist with stock organisation, storage optimisation, and maintaining a clean, organised warehouse environment. Perform basic mechanical tasks related to warehouse equipment maintenance or troubleshooting. Support construction or refurbishment projects within the warehouse as needed. Delivering orders to customers and stock to the stores. Working within the warehouse on days that deliveries are not scheduled.

Experience

Prior experience working in a warehouse environment is highly desirable. Proven competency in stock management, picking & packing, and shipping & receiving processes. Experience operating forklifts (certification preferred). Mechanical knowledge or background in construction can be advantageous for maintenance tasks. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during daily operations. This role requires organisational skills, physical endurance, and attention to detail to ensure smooth warehouse functioning. Candidates should be prepared for physically demanding tasks and demonstrate a proactive approach to safety and efficiency in the workplace.

Pay: 13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 38 per week
