Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling various tasks related to materials management, inventory control, and shipping and receiving. This position requires a proactive individual who is capable of performing physical tasks and is familiar with warehouse processes.

Duties

Load and unload goods from lorries and containers Pick and pack orders accurately for shipment Stock shelves and maintain inventory levels using a warehouse management system Assist in shipping and receiving activities, ensuring all items are accounted for Handle materials safely, adhering to health and safety regulations Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse environment Operate forklifts safely to move products as needed (certification preferred) Conduct regular checks on equipment and report any mechanical issues Collect Materials and orders from local and no local suppliers Drop items of to local sites and customers in company vans Clean company vehicles and perform tyre checks etc.

Skills

Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) Strong skills in materials handling, including heavy lifting techniques Familiarity with picking, packing, shipping, and receiving processes Mechanical knowledge to assist with basic equipment maintenance Experience in construction or related fields is an advantage Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Knowledge of AS400 systems is beneficial but not essential

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 10.00-12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
