: Retail Store Warehouse Operative and Delivery Driver
Purpose:
Maintains inventory and supplies by receiving, storing, and delivering items; securing warehouse; cutting carpets to plan, helping customers with enquiries in store and on the telephone. Able to organise time efficiently to incorporate a busy daily schedule. Experience driving a transit size van with confidence is essential. All applicants must have a clean driving licence and be over the age of 30 for insurance purposes.

Educated to GCSE level or equivalent minimum D grade or above

Duties:

Meets warehouse operational standards by contributing warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying warehouse system improvements. Measuring and cutting of Carpet and Vinyl; Lifting and carrying heavy goods; Delivers supplies and equipment to customers and fitters by receiving and transferring items. Maintains storage area by organising floor space; adhering to storage design principles. Assisting sales staff to ensure stock is displayed on the showroom floor Makes deliveries to customers and collections from suppliers throughout Kent, London and Essex as required using a company Van Maintains inventory by conducting monthly physical counts; reconciling variances Secures warehouse by closing the shutters when not in use and ensuring they are locked before leaving the building at the end of the day. Keeps equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; requiring preventive maintenance; calling for repairs. Assist shop floor staff during busy times by answering customer queries and phonecalls Accomplishes warehouse and organisation mission by completing related results as needed.
Skills/Qualifications:
Supervision, Safety Management, Dependability, Reporting Skills, Analysing Information, Dealing with Complexity, Deadline-Oriented, Time Management, Equipment Maintenance, Organisation, Basic metric knowledge. Clean Driving Licence.

Pay: 24,500.00-27,000.00 per year
