Warehouse Operative (SYNERGY)

The Warehouse Operative supports SYNERGY's operations by safely receiving, handling, storing, and dispatching customer equipment. The role ensures all items are accurately logged, well-maintained, and ready for use when required. You will maintain a clean and organised warehouse, follow all safety procedures, and work closely with the operations team to keep equipment moving efficiently and securely.

Duties

Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment such as forklifts and manual handling techniques Perform materials handling tasks, including sorting, stacking, and organising stock items Conduct routine maintenance and basic repairs on warehouse equipment to ensure safety and operational efficiency Assist with shipping and receiving activities, preparing orders for dispatch and verifying incoming deliveries Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations Support the movement of goods throughout the warehouse using mechanical knowledge and appropriate tools

Skills

Proficiency in equipment repair and basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot machinery issues Strong materials handling skills, including load & unload operations with heavy lifting capabilities Valid forklift licence is desirable; experience operating forklifts safely is essential Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for specific procedures Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures to ensure timely dispatches and deliveries Organised with excellent attention to detail to maintain accurate records and stock levels

Pay: 13.45-13.50 per hour
