Overview

We are looking for a reliable, proactive, and safety-conscious Warehouse Operative to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold valid Reach Truck and Counterbalance Forklift licences and demonstrate a strong work ethic, excellent organisational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and efficient warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operate Reach Truck and Counterbalance Forklift safely and efficiently. Receive, check, and store incoming goods accurately. Pick orders ready for dispatch following company standards. Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-organised warehouse at all times. Conduct regular stock checks and report discrepancies promptly. Load and unload vehicles using appropriate equipment. Follow all health & safety procedures, ensuring safe handling and storage of goods. Use warehouse management systems (WMS) or handheld scanners where required. Assist with general warehouse duties to support daily operations.

Requirements

Valid Reach Truck and Counterbalance Forklift licences (in-date certification). Previous warehouse or logistics experience Good level of spoken and written English. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work proactively, use initiative, and solve problems. Physically fit and able to lift/move goods as part of daily duties. Reliable, punctual, flexible and committed to high standards of work. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Skills

Experience with inventory systems or handheld scanners. Knowledge of safe manual handling practices. Understanding of lean or continuous-improvement principles.

Pay: 12.48 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
