About Us:

Ramsden Drums have been reconditioning and manufacturing new steel drums in the West Midlands for over 70 years. We are a fast-paced and busy manufacturer based in Great Bridge, Tipton. We recondition and manufacture 205-litre steel drums, mainly for the oil and chemical industry.

We are looking for a flexible warehouse operative team member who is an experienced Forklift (FLT) Driver to join our fast paced warehouse team.

This is a fast-paced role. When operating the forklift truck, you will be responsible for loading and unloading lorries quickly and safely. While your main job is driving the forklift, we are seeking a flexible team member, as part of this role involves helping with certain processes like product packaging and finishing, or general warehouse work, as well as operating the forklift.

We are looking for a dedicated, hardworking team member who turns up on time daily and is seeking a stable job.

What You Will Do:

Work on the final stages of a fast-paced production line, specifically in product finishing and final packaging. Drive the forklift safely in the warehouse and the outside yard. Load and unload trailers quickly and efficiently. Move stock to keep the warehouse organised and tidy. Count stock and product correctly and communicate loading details to the office team. Check your forklift daily to make sure it is safe to use. Help your team with other jobs (like packing or assembly) when needed. Keep your work area clean. Work overtime if production runs late (this is paid at a higher rate).

What You Need:

Forklift License. Experience driving forklifts in a busy warehouse or yard. Experience loading and unloading trailers. You must be a confident and efficient FLT driver. Good attention to detail for counting loads. Physically fit and able to lift packages if required. Flexible and willing to assist in other responsibilities, including production line work, as and when required. Good communication skills (you will need to use a radio).
