Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative / Van Driver to join our team during our seasonal peak period. This role will support daily warehouse operations and carry out multi-drop deliveries as required. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring orders are picked, packed, and delivered efficiently and safely. This role is predominantly warehouse based, with some van driving as required.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Duties

Loading and unloading goods using appropriate equipment, including forklifts, pallet trolleys and manual handling Picking and preparing customer orders accurately Handling materials safely Maintaining a clean, safe and organised warehouse and yard area Assisting with basic mechanical tasks related to warehouse equipment maintenance and minor repairs

Van Driving Duties

Loading the van and ensuring goods are secured correctly for transport Delivering customer orders on assigned routes, including multi-drop deliveries Providing a professional and courteous service to customers Carrying out basic daily vehicle checks (fuel, tyres, lights, cleanliness) Completing delivery paperwork or proof of delivery as required Reporting any vehicle issues, delays, or delivery problems promptly Keeping the van clean and presentable

Requirements

Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred but not essential Prior delivery driving experience is preferred but not essential Full UK driving licence essential Valid forklift licence preferred but not essential Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling up to 25kg Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Part time or full time applicants will be considered.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary, Temp to perm
Contract length: 5 months

Pay: 12.75 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
