Job Purpose and Scope:
Experienced warehouse operative and van driver wanted for day deliveries to fixed Depots within England (no central London deliveries). You will be part of a team that is responsible for the rolling and packing of advertising media (posters) and preparing them for despatch to the servicing depots either by our own vehicles or via our delivery partner. As part of your role, you will be required to undertake some delivery (within England) duties during the day, starting at 6AM (for which you will be paid 2 hours overtime at a rate of 20 per hour) via the company's van fleet, providing an efficient, accurate and prompt service to the business. As part of this arrangement, your role will be split 50/50 between warehouse work and driving. Responsibilities include other general duties, responding to the changing needs of the Business, maintaining the efficient and safe operation of the warehouse, and ensuring its smooth operation.
Key Tasks and Activities
Rolling and Packing Posters (Advertising Media) and labelling parcels ready for despatch.
Assisting with the loading of our own fleet of delivery vans in the correct delivery sequence.
Laying out parcels into the correct locations allocated to each depot.
Driving LWB 3.5t Van, delivering Parcels, Pallets & stillages to the servicing depots (within England)
Stock checks and Stock Control duties, including completion of stock control forms
Keeping the warehouse clean, neat and tidy
Working safely and accurately at speed, following instructions
General warehouse duties
As Warehouse Operative/Delivery Driver your role will be split 50/50 between warehouse and driving.
Some days you will be required to start early (6am), for which you will be paid 2 hours overtime at a rate of 20 per hour.
On your days allocated to driving, you might be asked to deliver as far as Manchester or Leeds, no more than 7 drops per day.
Accountabilities
Ensuring all actions are in line with Company's requirements, vision and instructions.

To work efficiently, and with attention to detail as part of the team.
To provide cover and support for all/any other activities in warehouse.
Health & Safety: Proactive inspection and rectification of Health and Safety issues in the workplace, ensuring self, and colleagues are working in a safe manner, and that the workplace is safe and fit for purpose.
Ensure that the Company's own vehicles are legal, safe and fit for purpose, and to undertake all safety/maintenance inspections of vehicle(s), to complete associated daily vehicle inspection paperwork, and to immediately flag any safety and/or maintenance issue with own vehicles.
To ensure that timely and proper rest breaks are taken during driving duties, in accordance with legislation for drivers.
To follow and enforce all Company policies & procedures.
To be polite, courteous and helpful when representing the Company, at all times, when collecting and delivering.
To be physically fit and capable of the role.
To handle all goods with care.

Essentials & desirable criteria:
Full Driver's Licence - Essential
Have a driver's licence for at least 2 years, have been resident in the UK for 3 years, and have no major or multiple convictions.
