Warehouse Operative /Van Driver - Hybrid Role

The Role

To contribute to the success of the Business by effectively discharging duties allocated to the role in line with the Company's Procedures and to a high standard and within acceptable time limits.

Warehouse Operative Key Responsibilities:

Receiving and handling stock through the local supply chain Pick, convert, pack and palletise customer orders Label, wrap and band customer orders Deal with "goods in" Check delivery notes Load and unload vehicles and put goods away as instructed using a forklift truck Dealing with customer collections Willingness to become trained on bed saw, beam saw , guillotine and sheeter conversion machines Follow all Health & Safety Procedures at all times Maintain housekeeping standards in the warehouse, goods yard and car parks Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the Business

Driving Responsibilities:

Multi-drop driving routes covering the Midlands Region to facilitate deliveries of goods in a timely and accurate manner To plan and assess routes in line with daily needs To carry out vehicle checks ensuring the vehicle is in full working order and report any faults in line with company procedures To monitor and prevent damage to vehicles and inform supervisor where damage is identified To ensure that all CPC, driving licence and drivers hours legislation is adhered to. To adhere to the Company Health and Safety Policy and maintain a safe working environment Carry out other such duties that may be reasonably requested by your supervisor or a member of Management

Essential Criteria

UK Driving Licence with C1 Licence allowing you to drive 3.5tonne - 7.5 tonne.

Desirable Criteria

Class II Licence Forklift Certification

25,000.00 - 26,100.00

per year (depending on Driving Certification/Qualifications)

Education, Qualifications and Experience Requirements

A qualification in English, Maths A forklift truck certificate of competence for counterbalance and reach trucks or willingness to train on both Relevant warehousing and storage certification would be beneficial Warehouse experience would be beneficial
