Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse operator to join our team at O'Neills. They will perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse.
Responsibilities
Assist warehouse operating procedures, unloading trucks and ensure goods are received, put away, picked and packed according to procedure and to required standards.
Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area
Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards
Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy,
Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing request, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through a computer. May also assist in counting of physical inventory, report any discrepancies
Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers
Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment
Adhere to Health & Safety regulations & housekeeping compliance (5 S) in warehousing, material & manual handling always in accordance with company policy and government legislation.
Able to perform calmly under pressure with conflicting demands; must be able to prioritise conflicting tasks to achieve tight deadlines
Strong team player with exceptional interpersonal skills, able to work with people at all levels in the organization. Excellent verbal and written communication
Ensure good working relationships are maintained with colleagues. Ensure that absenteeism and tardiness are kept to a minimum

Essential
GCSE level of education achieved including English and Maths
Manual Handling
Ability to work on own initiative. A positive attitude
The ability to work as part of a team and promote harmonious relationships.
Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
Good organisational and time management skills,
Ability to work shifts and lift heavy objects
Ability to work in a fast-moving environment and to be deadline driven. Have a "can do" attitude and friendly outlook.
Clear communication both verbally and in written format
Desirable
Working knowledge ISO9001 quality management system.
Environmentally friendly approach to business with knowledge of ISO 14001
Proven working experience as a warehouse worker
Current forklift licence
Valid driver's license
Basic computer skills for maintaining inventory logs and databases

The successful candidate will be based in Strabane.
Hours:
39-hour working week Monday to Thursday - 2.00 p.m. to 12 Midnight however all Candidates must be flexible.
