Leviton Manufacturing UK Ltd are seeking an experienced

Warehouse Operator

to join our Distribution team based at our European Headquarters.

Location:

Glenrothes, KY6 2RS

Salary:

26,346 + 5,269 shift allowance per annum

Hours:

40 per week, 3-week rotating shift pattern as follows: -

Week 1 - Monday and Tuesday Dayshift/ Thursday and Friday Nightshift

Week 2 - Wednesday - Friday Dayshift

Week 3 - Monday - Wednesday Nightshift

Contract Type:

Permanent

About this role:



A Warehouse Operator with Leviton is responsible for the safe receipt of goods in and dispatch of goods out, including the accurate recording and storage of raw materials, stock and finished goods within the Glenrothes site.

Essential functions include:

Process:

o Manage the dispatch and return of raw materials to and from the factory.

o Receive goods and check these are delivered in accordance with the delivery schedule, ensuring safe loading and unloading procedures are followed.

o Manage and coordinate the storage and distribution of all incoming materials and finished goods safely and in accordance with approved procedures.

o Process documentation and system transactions to ensure control and accuracy of all materials within the warehouse operation.

o Participate in inventory cycle counting, ensuring all variances are highlighted, investigated, and adjusted to maintain stock accuracy.

Quality:

o Maintain high standards in the warehouse and yard for inventory accuracy, quality, and service, in line with company standards and defined procedures.

Equipment/Workplace:

o Maximise warehouse efficiency and look after storage facilities and equipment.

o Maintain high standards of workplace organisation in line with Lean practices.

Safety, Health & Environment:

o Comply with site HSE standards and procedures, raising any issues with colleagues management.

o Comply with all policies and procedures for the control and prevention of accidents.

o Report any accident/incident, which has the potential to lead to a major accident.

o Contribute process/warehouse knowledge and experience to Risk Assessments when required, to maximise HSE performance.

o Comply with all emergency procedures.

Compliance:

o To be a highly disciplined Operator, fully compliant with all rules and procedures working to established quality standards.

Information:

o To maintain good written standards and communicate well with colleagues, suppliers, and customers.

About you:



The successful candidate will be an individual who has experience in a fast-paced warehouse/distribution environment and can demonstrate the ability to multitask, while also retaining attention to detail and accuracy. You will be an excellent problem solver with a background in manufacturing and will have experience in meeting challenging deadlines, while maintaining high quality standards. You should also have experience in using Materials Management Systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Though not essential, Counterbalance and Reach Truck forklift licences would be a distinct advantage.
