Job Description
We are a well-established industrial engineering supplies business based in Huddersfield, supplying a wide range of products to local and regional customers. We are currently seeking an experienced Store Manager to take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of our branch.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the store operations while maintaining excellent customer service. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong industry knowledge and experience in a similar sector.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing daily store operations and staff
Serving trade customers and providing technical product advice
Managing stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships
Processing sales, quotations, and enquiries
Carrying out local deliveries when required
Ensuring the store is well organised, efficient, and compliant with health & safety standards
Requirements
Proven experience working within the industrial engineering supplies sector or a closely related industry
Previous experience in a store management or senior counter role
Strong knowledge of industrial products and the local market
Full UK driving licence (essential) - ability to carry out local deliveries
Good organisational and communication skills
Reliable, self-motivated, and customer-focused
