Job Description
Due to an increase in our business we are recruiting for an additional person in our warehouse.
JOB TITLE:
Despatch & Goods Inward OperativeREPORTING TO:
Warehouse ManagerJOB PURPOSE:
Provide a well organised service for incoming goods, storage and despatch, encompassing speed, accuracy and security.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1 Goods Inwards
1.1 Packaging
Receive deliveries of packaging stock, check quantities and store tidily.
1.2 stock
Receive deliveries of bulk stock. Check quantities, record receipt and pass on paperwork to Senior Stores Controller.
2 Picking Stock maintenance
2.1 Keep shelves restocked from bulk storage.
2.2 Rejacket and bar code stock as necessary.
3 Order fulfillment
3.1 Pick and pack customer orders to achieve agreed turn-round targets
3.2 Dispatch orders with appropriate paperwork. Load lorries.
4 Operation of Machinery
Operate forklift, reach trucks, wrapping, strapping equipment
5 Housekeeping
Keep warehouse and outside forecourts clean and tidy including shelf dusting, keeping gangways clear and litter removal.
6 Stocktaking
Once a month.
7 General warehouse Duties.
As required
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: 12.36-13.36 per hour
Work Location: In person
