Warehouse Operators at

Niyis Ltd

play a key role in ensuring smooth warehouse operations, accurate stock handling, and timely fulfilment for both

in-store

and

online customers

. The responsibilities below reflect the standards, quality expectations, and operational structure of Niyis.

1. Receiving & Offloading



Receive and offload deliveries from suppliers, containers, and local distributors. Check all items for quality, damage, expiry, and correct quantities. Record deliveries accurately on Niyis systems (Scan, Excel sheets, Shopify, or internal tools). Report shortages, damaged goods, or supplier issues immediately to management.

2. Stock Management & Inventory Control



Organise and maintain stock in the warehouse, chillers, and freezer room. Apply

FIFO/FEFO

stock rotation -- especially for fresh vegetables, meat, and frozen items. Conduct daily cycle counts and weekly stock audits. Identify low-stock items and communicate to the Operations Manager before they run out. Ensure all inventory is neatly arranged and properly labelled.

3. Order Picking & Packing (E-Commerce)



Pick customer online orders accurately based on Niyis.co.uk order sheets. Ensure product weights, sizes, and packaging meet quality expectations. Pack items securely for nationwide courier delivery (Royal Mail, DPD, UPS, etc.). Prepare frozen and chilled items using the correct insulation and handling methods. Double-check every order before dispatch to reduce errors and refunds.

4. Dispatch & Logistics Support



Prepare dispatch trolleys and pallets for outbound deliveries. Assist drivers with loading goods safely and correctly. Print and attach shipping labels, packing slips, and internal documentation. Track dispatch status and update systems when orders leave the warehouse. Work closely with courier partners to ensure smooth collections.

5. Warehouse Organisation & Housekeeping



Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times. Keep walkways clear and ensure safe stocking practices. Clean freezers, chillers, worktops, equipment, and waste areas daily. Follow all Niyis hygiene, safety, and cleaning procedures (HACCP compliant). Ensure strong presentation of stored items for easy picking and inventory accuracy.

6. Equipment Handling & Safety



Operate pallet jacks, trolleys, scales, and other warehouse tools safely. Carry out basic checks on equipment and report faults immediately. Follow correct manual handling procedures. Use PPE provided (gloves, jacket, boots, hi-vis). Always follow Food Hygiene and Health & Safety rules.

7. Documentation & Reporting



Complete receiving logs, waste records, and stock adjustment forms. Update systems accurately when stock is moved, used, or sold. Record breakages, damages, or expired goods properly. Report operational issues early to avoid delays and customer complaints.

8. Quality Control



Inspect all incoming and outgoing goods for quality and compliance. Remove expired, damaged, or unsuitable stock immediately. Ensure meat, frozen goods, and produce meet Niyis quality standards. Maintain cleanliness and temperature control in storage areas.

9. Time Management & Productivity



Complete daily tasks within expected timelines. Manage workload effectively during peak periods (weekends, month-end, Christmas). Maintain accuracy and speed in order picking to avoid backlogs. Prevent workflow delays that may affect in-store sales or online dispatch.

10. Teamwork & Communication



Communicate clearly with warehouse team, drivers, store supervisors, and management. Support colleagues where required to meet operational targets. Report issues early and professionally. Attend training sessions and team meetings when scheduled.

11. Compliance with Niyis Policies



Follow all company rules on attendance, breaks, uniform, and conduct. Maintain confidentiality of internal documents and processes. Adhere strictly to Food Hygiene Level 2 and Health & Safety protocols. Uphold Niyis core values:

? Optional Responsibilities (based on staffing level)

Assist in butchery operations like (prepping, cutting, weighing, packaging, and storage of meats) Support in-store teams with stock transfer or shelf replenishment. Help prepare promotional stock loads for events or peak times. Provide support for photos/videos of products for marketing if needed. Nice to have a drivers license
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: 24,000.00-25,000.00 per year
