Summary



UK Rigging are seeking a Returns Supervisor to oversee all items being checked in to the building. This will primarily be hire equipment returning from being out onsite, but also includes new equipment and goods purchases.

The Returns Supervisor will ensure that all returning equipment is directed to the correct area, reporting compliance issues to the inspections team and ensuring that all equipment meets company standards.

This role requires a proactive person with exceptional attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsibilities



Overseeing the unloading and checking-in of returned items, ensuring all equipment is accounted for, and directing items to the correct inspection, testing, or cleaning areas immediately after return. Reporting any missing, damaged, or incorrect items to the hire team. Ensuring returns procedures and documentation are completed accurately and in a timely manner. Following internal processes to receive, prepare and distribute new equipment deliveries for both for outgoing jobs and existing stock. Undertaking quality control, ensuring all goods return to stock in a suitable condition. Working closely with other personnel to streamline the return process. Being a point of contact for the warehouse when the Warehouse Manager or Outgoing supervisor are absent or unavailable. Training the team on relevant brand standards, providing ample feedback and encouragement. Taking time to get to know staff, making all staff feel included, listening well, being trustworthy and approachable. Leading others to maintain a tidy, organised and safe warehouse environment. Encouraging health and safety compliance and suggesting ways for improvement. Working alongside other departments in a calm and professional manner to achieve departmental and company goals.

Qualifications & Experience



Experience with warehousing, manufacturing or other hands-on role is essential Experienced with materials handling and logistics processes, preferably including use of lift trucks and other lifting machinery Ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently Experience of a trustworthy position, such as keyholder, is ideal Previous experience in a leadership position would be beneficial

Schedule



This is a full-time role of 35 hours a week.

The schedule for this role is 09.30-17.30, Monday to Friday, with an hour break for lunch (unpaid).

Please note that this role is physically demanding and requires a good level of physical fitness including bending and lifting.
