Job Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their property. This role involves monitoring premises through surveillance, conducting regular patrols, and implementing loss prevention strategies. A strong understanding of CCTV operations, regular onsite patrols, good IT skills and relevant warehouse experience is needed.

Duties

Monitor and patrol assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity. Operate CCTV systems to observe and record activities within the premises. Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, ensuring appropriate action is taken. Conduct thorough inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify potential security risks. Implement loss prevention measures to minimise theft and damage to property. Provide assistance during emergencies, including administering first aid when necessary. Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities for management review. Collaborate with local law enforcement when required to ensure safety protocols are followed.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a security role or similar position is preferred but not essential. Strong understanding of surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies. Proficiency in operating CCTV systems effectively. Certification in first aid is highly desirable. Excellent observational skills with attention to detail. Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and the public. Flexibility in working hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
