Reporting to the Site Operations Manager, the role holder will be responsible for ensuring a constant, smooth and efficient Warehouse Operation whilst achieving agreed budgetary and service levels, ensuring the provision of an efficient and reliable service to customers whilst meeting all legal requirements.

Principal Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
To ensure the safe and efficient storage of temperature sensitive stock to the client's and company's requirements.
To act in a safe manner at all times whilst conducting duties.
To act in accordance with all company policies
Responsible for adhering to food hygiene relevant to the role and adhering to the HACCP plan for the depot to ensure product safety, legality and quality.
To contribute towards the improvement of processes, methods of operating and practices within the Depot by a structured process of accountability and training.
To be responsible for the Health & Safety issues within the areas of the Job Holders control in accordance with Company Health & Safety policy.
Line management of Warehouse Operatives and Warehouse disciplines
Assist in all other areas of the depot as operational requirements demand.
To train, retain and motivate staff within a team-based management culture.
Maintain a culture that develops two-way feedback and ensure communication takes place on a regular basis and at all levels.
To communicate and liaise with, and escalate issues to fellow managers, management and internal and external service providers where necessary.
Proactively motivate your teams to ensure targets and deadlines are clearly understood and are being achieved and act as an immediate point of reference for problems.
Plan and control daily and weekly labour and equipment requirements to achieve budgeted performance, priorities and deadlines.
Identify any problems which occur during the shift and react accordingly.
Monitor department performance, time keeping and overtime, as well as own performance against plan and be able to justify under performance or overspend against budget.
To contribute towards the improvement of processes, methods of operating and practices within the Depot by a structured process of accountability and training.
Ensure that hygiene of both warehouse and staff is of an acceptable standard at all times.
Ensure security/search procedures are correctly implemented to ensure the integrity of our customers and our own property.
Monitor sickness, absence levels and timekeeping with the Accounts Department through return-to-work interviews and counselling and carry out the appropriate action in line with company policy.
Maintain a level of disciplinary action that is fair, consistent and compliant with the Policy laid down in the Terms and Conditions of Employment.
Resolve queries quickly and efficiently within the proscribed timescale.
Undertake and delegate project work as dictated from time to time by senior management.
Attend any relevant training sessions to ensure you are fully equipped to perform your duties effectively and attend management meetings as required.
Undertake any other duties which can be reasonably asked of a Team Leader as required by the operation.
Responsible for the taking and recording of temperature of all in bound and out bound deliveries.
Responsible for adhering to food hygiene rules and to the HACCP plan for the site.
Additional Information
Role is for 1400-2200hrs shift. Required to work any 5 in 7 days with primary days being Monday to Friday
MHE licenses preferable
First Aid training will be provided and required
