Stores Assistant - Electrical Contractor

14.00-16.50 per hour (depending on experience)

About Us

Barrie Beard Ltd is a well-established electrical contracting company based in Bromsgrove. We provide installation, maintenance, and support services across commercial, industrial and domestic sectors. We are looking for a reliable and proactive Stores Assistant to support our existing Stores Person and help ensure the efficient running of our warehouse and yard operations.

Role Responsibilities

Assist the existing Stores Person with day-to-day warehouse operations Book materials in and out using computer systems (Excel competency required) Receive deliveries and restock materials on shelves Help load and unload company vans Keep the stores and external service yard clean and organised Carry out face-fit testing for employees (training provided) Perform LOLER inspections on company plant (training provided) Operate the company forklift truck (training/licence can be provided)

Required Skills & Experience

General knowledge of electrical products Previous warehouse or stores experience (preferred) Ability to perform manual handling and heavy lifting Good computer literacy, especially Excel Willingness to undertake training as required

Desirable:

Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain - training can be provided)

Additional Information
