About Us



Trust Hygiene Services Ltd is a friendly, family-orientated yet highly professional hygiene company, based in Walsall, West Midlands. Due to continued growth, we are looking to appoint an experienced and motivated Service Installations & Engineering Team Leader to join our expanding team.

This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys leading people while remaining actively involved in field-based engineering work.

About the Role



You will lead a team of four service engineers who install, service, and repair:

Laundry auto-dosing units Mains-fed water coolers and boilers Product dispensers and washroom equipment
Our engineers work across the Greater Midlands and surrounding areas, servicing clients including care homes, schools, commercial premises, and offices.

Key Responsibilities



Lead, motivate, and support a team of 4 service engineers Conduct engineer performance reviews (with internal support) Provide hands-on support with installations, servicing, and repairs Act as the technical escalation point for engineers, staff, and customers Train and coach service engineers Carry out plumbing and electrical site surveys to ensure accurate costings Monitor quality control and inspect completed works Assign and carry out facilities maintenance and refurbishment tasks (warehouse & office) Electrical installation and fault-finding duties Monitor and control engineering stock, tools, and spare parts Review and advise on new equipment and services Manage annual leave and absence Attend monthly management meetings Liaise with internal administration regarding maintenance requirements
Please note: occasional overnight stays will be required for long-distance installations.

Skills & Experience Required



NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (minimum) Proven experience in a service engineering, facilities maintenance, or engineering supervisory/team leader role Electrical installation and maintenance experience Full clean UK driving licence Basic plumbing knowledge (advantageous) Strong leadership skills with a supportive, coaching approach Good working knowledge of Health & Safety and risk assessments Competent in MS Word and Excel (PowerPoint advantageous) Highly organised, reliable, and detail-focused Flexible, proactive, and able to work under pressure
Due to the nature of our clients (schools and care/nursing homes), an enhanced DBS check is required.

Hours & Salary



Monday to Friday Minimum 45 hours per week Typically 9-hour days between 5am-5pm, depending on customer requirements Salary: 40,000 per annum, rising to 42,500 after successful probation
