Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Warehouse / Stores Person to join our dynamic logistics team. Responsibilities

Efficiently load and unload shipments using forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment while adhering to safety standards such as OSHA regulations. Operate warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to accurately track inventory movements, update stock levels, and process order picking and packing tasks. Manage inventory control by conducting regular stock counts, cycle counts, and reconciling discrepancies to ensure data accuracy within the AS400 system or similar platforms. Prepare items for shipment by packaging products securely, applying proper labeling, and ensuring compliance with shipping standards. Perform order picking and order fulfillment activities with precision using various equipment such as order pickers and mechanical tools. Load and unload trucks efficiently, ensuring timely delivery schedules are met while maintaining safety protocols. Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment by stocking shelves properly and managing materials handling equipment effectively. Assist in warehouse distribution activities by coordinating with supervisors to optimize storage space and workflow processes. Conduct routine inspections of heavy equipment like forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and pallet jacks; report maintenance needs promptly. Support shipping & receiving operations by verifying inbound/outbound shipments against documentation and updating inventory records accordingly. Follow all OSHA guidelines to promote a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues. Collaborate with team members to improve warehouse procedures related to stocking, packaging, order picking, and overall warehouse management.

Experience

Knowledge of materials handling techniques including heavy lifting, packaging methods, and stock replenishment procedures. Experience with shipping & receiving processes, order fulfillment, and inventory reconciliation is desirable. Previous supervisory experience in a warehouse setting is a plus but not mandatory; strong teamwork skills are essential. Mechanical knowledge related to maintaining or troubleshooting warehouse equipment is beneficial. Understanding of OSHA safety standards relevant to warehouse operations ensures a safe work environment for all team members.
