Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of logistics and warehouse management systems. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient business processes, effective team management, and the smooth handling of materials within the warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing HS&E and BRCGS standards. Oversee the receipt, storage, picking, dispatch, and delivery of goods, ensuring timely and accurate fulfilment. Monitor stock accuracy, control stock levels, and manage stock takes and packaging returns. Implement and uphold company procedures, quality standards, and continuous improvement practices. Drive "Right First Time" delivery and resolve customer concerns through root cause analysis and corrective actions. Manage operational methods to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain high service levels. Lead and coach a high-performing team, managing staffing, training, development, and absence control. Liaise with customers, suppliers, and transport partners to ensure smooth operations. Maintain warehouse security, equipment maintenance, and ensure effective FLT and resource utilization. Support change management, engineering trials, and product lifecycle transitions. Champion team engagement, resilience, adaptability, and collaborative working.

Ability to sustain & develop team working and team-based problem solving Possess the ability to lead & motivate a team of people to succeed by utilising appropriate interpersonal styles including leading by example, setting objectives & defining responsibilities to give a clear sense of direction Good understanding of customer deliverables & the impact of failure/cost of poor quality Able to achieve results by setting high standards & committing to objectives Excellent communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and able to establish logical practical solutions Strong people and performance management skills Computer literate with good numerical skills
