Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee our warehouse operations Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm . The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient processes, managing a team, and maintaining high standards of safety and productivity. This role requires strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse management systems, logistics, and materials handling.

Duties

Supervise daily warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Manage and train warehouse staff, fostering a productive team environment. Oversee shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment. Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs. Maintain inventory accuracy through effective use of warehouse management systems. Coordinate logistics for inbound and outbound shipments, liaising with third-party logistics (3PL) providers as necessary. Operate forklifts and other materials handling equipment safely and efficiently. Perform regular inspections of equipment and facilities, addressing any mechanical issues promptly. Ensure heavy lifting tasks are carried out safely by trained personnel.

Skills

Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar supervisory role. Strong knowledge of materials handling techniques and safety protocols. Familiarity with logistics operations and shipping & receiving processes. Experience with warehouse management systems, particularly AS400 is advantageous. Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead staff effectively. Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise. Capability to handle heavy lifting tasks as required by the role. A proactive approach to process improvement initiatives within the warehouse environment.
