Job Description

Role Purpose



To ensure the efficient, accurate, and safe handling of goods throughout the delivery, inspection, storage, and dispatch process. This role supports the wider production, procurement, and logistics teams by managing stock, coordinating incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining documentation, and upholding high standards of quality and organisation within the warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities



o Receive, unload, and log all incoming deliveries, ensuring items match purchase orders or delivery notes. o Prepare and load finished goods for dispatch, ensuring all relevant documentation (delivery notes, labels, etc.) is included and correctly completed. o Communicate any discrepancies or issues upon receipt or dispatch promptly to relevant departments. o Check all incoming goods for damage, shortages, or defects. o Inspect manufactured components to ensure they meet quality standards. o Flag and isolate any non-conforming items and escalate for resolution. o Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all goods received and dispatched. o Photograph finished goods for documentation purposes, saving images in the appropriate project folders. o Ensure all outgoing deliveries are fully documented and correctly match order and Bill of Materials specifications. o Update stock levels in NetSuite and assist with regular stock checks and audits. o Support purchasing and production teams with accurate inventory reporting. o Assist in managing component kits for ongoing projects and third-party suppliers. o Physically unload and unpack deliveries, ensuring items are correctly labelled and stored in designated areas. o Organise and prepare parts (kitting) for internal projects and external suppliers, ensuring timely availability. o Maintain a tidy and systematic storage environment. o Liaise with suppliers, the purchasing team, and internal departments to resolve delivery issues or delays. o Support smooth workflow and operational efficiency through clear and timely communication. o Ensure compliance with warehouse safety protocols and report hazards, damaged goods, or unsafe practices. o Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment. o Assist with ad hoc tasks including packing, labelling, moving goods, and preparing items for delivery or installation. o Provide support to colleagues during peak periods or when additional resources are needed.

Skills & Experience



o Attention to Detail - Critical for quality control, documentation accuracy, and correct order fulfilment. o Physical Fitness - Capable of lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods as part of daily duties. o Communication Skills - Confident communicator able to liaise with internal teams and external suppliers. o Computer Literacy - Comfortable using inventory management systems and performing basic data entry tasks. o Problem-Solving Ability - Proactive in identifying and addressing delivery issues or inventory discrepancies. o Organisational Skills - Able to maintain an orderly workspace and manage competing tasks effectively. o Licences - Forklift Truck Licence (required); Full UK Driving Licence (required).
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 26,000.00 per year
