Role Purpose

As the Warehouse Supervisor at Foodpoint Produce, you are responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations. You will lead a team of warehouse staff, ensuring accurate stock handling, efficient processes, and high standards of cleanliness and organisation. You will also support the Operations Manager with team management, supplier coordination, and stock integrity. Your leadership ensures that our warehouse runs smoothly and safely while meeting the needs of our customers.

Core Responsibilities

Supervise day-to-day activities of stockers, packers, loaders and other warehouse staff. Monitor goods-in, stock movement, and goods-out to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Plan team tasks in coordination with the Operations Manager based on delivery and order schedules. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment. Lead by example and ensure all staff comply with food hygiene, health & safety, protocols Train new team members and support ongoing performance and conduct reviews. Ensure accurate use of the IT system for stock movement and order fulfilment. Communicate with suppliers and drivers, addressing quality issues or delivery discrepancies. Oversee stock takes, investigate variances, and escalate issues as needed. Identify and implement operational improvements to boost efficiency and reduce waste. Support incident logging, equipment checks, and report faults to management. Ensure proper PPE usage and shift handover communication.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in warehouse operations, ideally in food distribution. Strong leadership and communication skills. Familiarity with stock control practices (FIFO, batch rotation, etc.). Experience supervising a team and managing daily workloads. Comfortable using warehouse systems (e.g., Grownet) and mobile apps. Positive, proactive mindset with a focus on team development. Physically fit and comfortable in a cold-storage environment. Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 33,000.00-35,000.00 per year
